As early as the 17th century, the Canada goose was brought to Europe, where it remains a popular game bird to this day.

A similar design appeared in 1967 on a Canadian Silver Dollar commemorative coin celebrating the 100th anniversary of Canada’s Confederation. The classic design by Alex Colville also featured the Canada goose in flight and is considered a timeless masterpiece of numismatic art. This tribute to the majestic animal blends tradition with modern security features, bringing a piece of Canadian history back to the world of collectors.

After defeating two Roman forces in succession, the rebels overran most of southern Italy. Ultimately their numbers grew to at least 90,000. Spartacus defeated the two consuls for the year 72 and fought his way northward toward the Alps, hoping to be able to disperse his soldiers to their homelands once they were outside Italy. he English noble coins were available from 1344 until the reign of King Edward IV in 1464 when the period of so-called Heavy Coinage resulted in a new version of the noble known as the Gold Angel. All of these 2024 1 oz Isle of Man Silver Noble Coins borrow heavily from that concept for the reverse design. Each of the individual Isle of Man Silver Nobles you purchase here today come with an individual capsule and what the mint calls a “proof quality” finish. The value of the original Gold Angels ebbed and flowed over time, ranging from 6 shillings 8 pence to 11 shillings.

A truly iconic coin the Angel was thought to bring good luck and health and was traditionally given to sufferers of the ‘King’s evil’ or scrofula a form of tuberculous skin disease, The Monarch would present the coin to the person in a religious ceremony intending to cure them with the ‘royal touch’ due to the divine rights of sovereigns. This practice was carried on well into the 18th century.

This coin is the first in a series of bullion coins that will explore the legend of St George.

The depiction of St George and the Dragon has long been a tradition on British coinage, with Benedetto Pistrucci’s interpretation on the gold sovereign coin being the most well known. The legend of St George slaying the dragon symbolises victory of good over evil, courage in the face of danger, and protection of the realm, ideals which solidify St George’s importance as a figure of national pride.

The epic battle between Saint George and the Dragon has been a staple of mythology and of British coinage for hundreds of years. According to the story, the dragon initially demanded tribute from a village, when they ran out of livestock and valuables they began offering a human sacrifice each year. This arrangement was tolerable for the villagers until a princess was selected as the next offering. At this point Saint George intervened, rescuing the princess and slaying the dragon.

In the Slavic religious tradition, Domowik is the household spirit of a given kin. They are deified progenitors, that is to say the fountainhead ancestors of the kin. According to the Russian folklorist E. G. Kagarov, the Domovoy (Russian name for Domowik) is a personification of the supreme Rod in the microcosm of kinship. Sometimes he has a female counterpart, Domania, the goddess of the household, though he is most often a single god. The Domowik expresses himself as a number of other spirits of the household in its different functions.

The Domowik is usually represented as an old, gray-haired man with flashing eyes. He may manifest in the form of animals, such as cats, dogs or bears, but also as the master of the house or a departed ancestor of the given family, sometimes provided with a tail and little horns. In some traditions, the Domowik are symbolised as snakes. Household gods were represented by the Slavs as statuettes, made of clay or stone, which were placed in niches near the house’s door, and later on the mantelpieces above the ovens.

This amazing Silver coin celebrates the birth with a nice image of the stork carrying a baby in a bundle with its beak on its reverse.

You know the story of the stork bringing babies.

A Greek myth told of storks stealing babies after Hera (goddess of women, marriage, family, and childbirth) turned her rival into a stork and then that stork-woman tried to steal Hera’s son. In Egyptian mythology, the soul of a person was believed to be a stork and the return of the stork in the spring meant the soul had returned to the person.

In Slavic mythology and religion, storks carried unborn souls from Vyraj (a place where birds go for the winter and souls go after death) to earth in the spring and today the story of a stork delivering babies persists.

German folklore told of storks finding babies in caves or marshes and bringing them to households in a basket on their backs or held in their beaks. The babies would then be given to the mother or dropped down the chimney. Households would indicate when they wanted children by placing sweets for the stork on the windowsill. The legend is ancient, but was popularized by a 19th-century Hans Christian Andersen story called The Storks. From there the folklore spread around the world to the Philippines and countries in South America. Birthmarks on the back of the head of a newborn baby are sometimes referred to as stork-bites.

“Panta Rhei” – Everything flows and things come and go. When it comes to value, precious metals have always held a crucial position in the world of finance. Nowadays, a safe haven at the very least, a financial norm in the past. Silver currently holds an especially important position in the financial world and we believe it will continue to do so for a long time.

Now and forever.

Heraclitus recognized the fundamental changing of objects with the flow of time (i.e., impermanence) and the philosophical issue of becoming.

He is credited with the phrase πάντα ῥεῖ (panta rhei) “everything flows.”This famous aphorism used to characterize Heraclitus’ thought comes from Simplicius, a neoplatonist, and from Plato’s Cratylus. The word rhei (as in rheology) is the Greek word for “to stream”, and is etymologically related to Rhea according to Plato’s Cratylus. Compare with the Latin adages Omnia mutantur and Tempora mutantur (8 AD) and the Buddhist and Hindu concepts of anicca.

RoboCop is a 1987 American science fiction action film directed by Paul Verhoeven and written by Edward Neumeier and Michael Miner. The film stars Peter Weller, Nancy Allen, Daniel O’Herlihy, Ronny Cox, Kurtwood Smith, and Miguel Ferrer. Set in a crime-ridden Detroit in the near future, RoboCop centers on police officer Alex Murphy (Weller) who is murdered by a gang of criminals but revived by the megacorporation Omni Consumer Products as the cyborg law enforcer RoboCop. Unaware of his former life, RoboCop executes a campaign against crime while coming to terms with the lingering fragments of his humanity.

The film was conceived by Neumeier while working on the set of Blade Runner (1982), and he developed the idea with Miner. Their script was purchased in early 1985 by producer Jon Davison on behalf of Orion Pictures. Finding a director proved difficult; Verhoeven dismissed the script twice because he did not understand its satirical content, until he was convinced of its value by his wife. Filming took place between August and October 1986, mainly in Dallas, Texas. Rob Bottin led the special-effects team in creating practical effects, violent gore and the RoboCop costume.

The 1928 short Steamboat Willie made history as one of the first cartoons with synchronized sound and introduced Mickey and Minnie Mouse. While the third Mickey Mouse film was produced, it was the first to be distributed.

Although many people consider the Steamboat Willie cartoon to be Mickey and Minnie’s debut, it was actually the third outing for the famous mouse and his girlfriend. However, Steamboat Willie was Mickey’s first official appearance. It was also the world’s first fully synchronised sound cartoon and became one of the most popular animated films of its time. In 2007, Disney reworked the cartoon’s opening scene of Mickey whistling at the helm of his steamboat and it’s now used as the introduction to the studio’s animated features. The scene is the inspiration for the 2017 Silver Steamboat Willie coin.

Weight (grams):

The two figures depicted on the reverse are Rangi and Papa – the Sky Father and Earth Mother from which the universe was born, according to Māori beliefs. Their creation myth tells the story of the deep but doomed love between Earth and Sky. Held in each other’s tight embrace, the space between them was home to pitch-black darkness, where lived their 70 children – the gods of the forest, the sea, the winds, and all the forces of nature. The more they grew, the more they hungered for light, until one day with a heavy heart, they decided to rend their parents apart. Each tried their mightiest – to no avail. Then came the god of the forest’s turn – despite Rangi and Papa’s anguished cries, he stood firmly between them and began pushing at them, until finally, he managed to rend the Sky Father and the Earth Mother apart, letting the light flood between them and freely shine upon the world. To this day, Rangi and Papa yearn for each other, separated forever but still deeply in love.

Here, the Sky Father and the Earth Mother are depicted before their tragic separation. Their faces are adorned with the traditional tattoos Māori people are marked with as a rite of passage – men on their faces and some parts of the body, and women on their chins. The design is based on the typical Māori woodcarving style through which this culture has been expressing its legends and beliefs for centuries – and the texture of the wood has been recreated with an all-matt finish.

The French Indo-China silver Piastre is one of the many successors of the Spanish “piece of Eight” large size silver coins that had circulated in many parts of Asia since the seventeenth century. Arising from a need by many nations to develop commerce and trade with the Orient, the so-called Trade Dollars became almost ‘calling cards’ for western nations as trade with the China and the Orient exploded following the First and Second Opium Wars. As other European powers began their push into Asia, France had for the most part gone unchallenged with the exception being Vietnam who themselves had hopes of achieving greater amounts of territory. By 1885, the French introduced a new currency based on the silver piastre de commerce in order to increase monetary stability The obverse of the coins depicted a distinctive seated Liberty and headdress similar to that worn by the iconic Statue of Liberty, a gift to the American people from France in 1876 on the Centenary Anniversary of US Independence. The reverse side included a simple wreath with the inscription INDO-CHINE FRANCAISE – PIASTRE DE COMMERCE – A TITRE 0,900. POIDS 27 GR. denoting the coin’s original weight and fineness.

Inscribed on the band of the crown is “IN YOUR MAJESTY RIDE OUT VICTORIOUSLY”. Behind the lion is a reflective regal floral-like pattern that accentuates the beauty of this design. At the very bottom of the obverse are the specifications of the coin of “ONE TROY OUNCE” and the exceptional purity of “.9999 FINE SILVER”.

The Aztec calendar is the calendar system that was used by the Aztecs as well as other Pre-Columbian peoples of central Mexico. It is one of the Mesoamerican calendars, sharing the basic structure of calendars from throughout ancient Mesoamerica.

The calendar consisted of a 365-day calendar cycle called xiuhpohualli (year count) and a 260-day ritual cycle called tonalpohualli (day count). These two cycles together formed a 52-year “century,” sometimes called the “calendar round”. The xiuhpohualli is considered to be the agricultural calendar, since it is based on the sun, and the tonalpohualli is considered to be the sacred calendar.

The calendric year may have begun at some point in the distant past with the first appearance of the Pleiades (Tianquiztli) asterism in the east immediately before the dawn light. But due to the precession of the Earth’s axis, it fell out of favor to a more constant reference point such as a solstice or equinox. Early Spanish chroniclers recorded it being celebrated in proximity with the Spring equinox.

It became necessary to produce a special dollar for trading in the British Colony when the price of Silver rose rapidly in value between 1875 and 1895. The Silver price disturbed trading and resulted in a very serious shortage of minted dollars. To overcome the threat of a currency famine, The Royal Prerogative of the English sovereign gave approval in 1894 for the minting of a special British Dollar for general use in Far Eastern Trade.

The release of these Trade Dollars marked a significant change in Japan during which time the restoration of Imperial Authority was vested in Emperor Mutshuhito, who reigned from 1868 to 1914. His reign is known as the Meiji Era, which witnessed the introduction of rapid industrialization and manufacturing that transformed Japan into one of the world’s largest and most advanced economies.

The Fourth release in the Zi:Sin Series comes from KOMSCO with the design of Rattus. The collection features images of the 12 Guardians, with each of the guardians representing leading soldiers in the armies of God. In Korean culture, these individuals represent protectors who serve as the leading edge for the armies of good when facing off with evil in the world.

ZI:SIN Rattus is the Queen of the underground cave at the Chiwoo Empire and has the ability to forsee danger. Dressed in a celestial robe with a dagger on her waist, Rattus waits at the top of the cave to enjoy the darkness and brightness of the world under the full moon. It is here that she is able to foresee that a great war is coming, and alerts Chiwoo Cheonwang.

For the 2020 release, the obverse design features a new Gwi-myeon-wa, known as “Nok-yoo-gi-myeon-wa”. Traditionally, Koreans built Gwi-myeon-wa and hung them on both ends of their roofs to scare off evil spirits.

This perspective-based action scene is unequaled in any recent martial arts themed bullion coin offerings of which we are aware. Every aspect of this design is spot-on regarding the power of the deep focus involved in Taekwondo. The fist-punch displayed did not originate in the passionate emotional response of the combatant depicted. One glance at his expression demonstrates the quiet spirit out of which the punch was being delivered. This is a remarkable step forward in this new series, and one we hope to see expanded on in the years to come!

The obverse is consistent with the series, presenting a beautiful and active scene, featuring a Yin Yang symbol on the left center of the design. The darkness of the Yin is accented by slightly-angled fine, horizontal lines against the frosted background. The lightness of the Yang is from the unfrosted silver. A circle-inset fills the head of the Yang with the security feature of a latent image of the medallion’s fineness of “999” hidden within the fine vertical lines. The active part of the design is produced by swirls of heavier lines that appear to feed into the Yin from the top, and the Yang from the bottom. The overall design is very clean and attractive, with a nicely-textured frosted background. Inscriptions at the lower right include “2020” in a smaller type, with “KOREA” in a larger type stacked below.

The reverse is where the real action is! A young taekwondo fighter demonstrates a perfect upward, forward punch, originating from the center of his focused energy, ready to move in and finish the contest. Inscriptions include “TAEKWONDO . 1oz FINE SILVER 999.”

Asian cultures have a love of gambling that rivals anywhere else on Earth, so what better subject for a coin from the region that luck itself? The design of this one-ounce fine silver bullion coin is a composition of many of the elements associated with the concept of luck around the world. A slot machine is the main focus, but it, and the surrounding space, is replete with such iconic imagery as horseshoes, and four-leaf clovers. We’re not going to say this was something designed primarily for artistic style – this one is about the meaning more than anything else. The obverse of this Niue Island issue is a standard one, depicting Queen Elizabeth II for its main element.

Each of the coins in the 25,000 mintage comes with a small certificate of authenticity that has a serialised number on it. Nothing strange about that, of course, but there’s something a bit special about this one. On 28 March 2020, at 10am Korean time, there will be a live YouTube event in which one serial number of that 25,000 will be drawn to win a prize.

There’s something special about wild horses running free, but the free-roaming mustangs of America’s West aren’t the world’s only wild horses. There are also herds of them roaming about the Australian Alps region in the nation’s Northern Territory and Queensland. These equine beauties are known as Brumby Horses or “Brumbies” in honor of James Brumby (1771-1838), an English soldier and pastoralist. Brumby was forced to turn loose the horses he had bred and raised in New South Wales after being transferred to Tasmania in 1804. Today, these feral creatures descended from Brumby’s original stock have come to symbolize Australia’s independent nature and ability to thrive in a hostile environment.

To pay tribute to these magnificent animals, Australia’s world-renowned Peth Mint has released a silver coin that depicts a Brumby Horse confidently galloping through a nameless stream. Struck in a full ounce of 99.99% pure silver, this legal-tender coin is a gleaming tribute to an Australian icon seen by many as symbolic of the nation’s rugged can-do character.

2020 Australian Kookaburra & Baby 2oz Silver Bullion Coin

Manufacturer: Perth Mint
Dimensions: 40.6 mm
Weight (grams): 62.206
Fineness: 999

The Next Generation Series from the Perth Mint launched in 2018 with two common factors for each coin in the collection. First, the design on the reverse always focuses on a mother and its baby. This started in 2018 with the Koala mother and her young baby, and continued in 2019 with the Crocodile mother and baby. Now, the series moves on to a third design with one of the continents most famous residents.

The term piedfort comes from the Middle Ages and refers to the coinage of the era that was often known as a heavy-foot style. These coins were thicker specimens with greater weight in a smaller diameter. Modern coins of this type represent that same reality with a 2 oz weight on a 1 oz coin diameter.

On the obverse face of 2020 2 oz Australian Mother and Baby Kookaburra Silver Coins, you will find the latest effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. The sixth-generation portrait of the Queen, this design was created by Jody Clark and is unique to Australian coins in its inclusion of the Queens shoulders in the design. The reverse side of the 2020 Australian Mother and Baby Kookaburra Silver Coins features a depiction of a small baby kookaburra nestled up close to its mother. You can tell the little baby bird is hungry and the mother is no doubt ready to lend a hand.

In 1964, as Australia prepared to switch from pounds to dollars, the artist Stuart Devlin won a competition to design the country’s first decimal coins.

Unseen in the Northern Hemisphere, the Southern Cross constellation has guided travelers and explorers, inspired poets and musicians. It has been a symbol of loyalty and rebellion and remains one of the most meaningful and recognizable features in the southern skies.

2020 Black Flag The Royal Fortune 1oz Silver Bullion Coin

Manufacturer: Perth Mint
Dimensions: 40.6 mm
Weight (grams): 31.103
Fineness: 999

The Royal Fortune was captained by the legendary Pirate Black Bart,  This is the second subject of a new series of silver and gold bullion coins from the Perth Mint, Throughout the 17th and 18th centuries, pirates roamed the seven seas, with each ship displaying a unique “black flag” to announce its arrival and make clear mercy would be given only to those who surrendered.

Born in Pembrokeshire. In 1718, when he was second mate on the Princess, his ship was captured by the Welsh pirate, Howel Davis, and he was forced to serve under his captor. When Davis was killed, Roberts, who in six weeks had shown great courage and resourcefulness, was elected captain. He accepted, saying that since he had dipped his hands in muddy water it was better to be commander than a common man. Notoriety came speedily. He sailed into a fleet of forty-two Portuguese ships, ascertained which was the richest, boarded, and sailed off with her. Soon he struck terror everywhere. When he entered a harbour in Newfoundland, their crews abandoned the twenty-two ships there. After successes, the pirates went ashore at places like Surinam and Sierra Leone, indulging wild debauchery until their resources were exhausted. Not that success was unbroken; once at least they were long in extremities for want of provisions and water. One of their finest captures was a frigate built ship of the Royal African Company. Roberts renamed her the Royal Fortune. Captain Chaloner Ogle, R.N., managed to bring her to battle off Cape Lopez.

Roberts was killed (10 February 1722), and his body, in all its pirate finery, thrown overboard, as he had previously requested. His crew then surrendered. Bold as pirate captains were, Roberts’s calculated daring was exceptional. In a drink-sodden and blood-stained community he was comparatively temperate and humane.

Roberts’ own prophetic words; “I have dipped my hands in muddy water and if a pirate I must be, ’tis better being a commander than a common man.”

Manufacturer: Royal Australian Mint
Dimensions: 33.9 mm
Weight (grams): 31.103
Fineness: 999

The Royal Australian Mint is pleased to present the second release in the Australian Shipwreck series featuring the Vergulde Draeck (Gilt Dragon). For the first time in bullion, the series will feature coins that are triangular-shaped in size. The Gilt Dragon follows on from the popular first release in the series featuring the Batavia.
The exquisite design of the reverse conveys two scenes to communicate the journey of the Gilt Dragon. With the image of the ship viewed upright, the Gilt Dragon is shown setting sail in its full glory. Flipping the coin to view the text of  1656  and ‘Vergulde Draeck’ upright depicts the ship in its final state capsized shortly after wrecking in 1656. The obverse design depicts scenes from the dramatic story of the Gilt Dragon before its ultimate demise.

These coins are the second of the Australian Shipwreck Series, following the Batavia release of 2019. On the morning of 28 April 1656, a VOC ship called the Vergulde Draeck, travelling towards Batavia (now Jakarta) with a load of trade goods, coins, cargo, passengers and crew, struck an uncharted reef off the coast of Western Australia. The reef gutted the ship and only 75 of the crew survived, along with a small quantity of provisions and a single boat.
The under steersman, Abraham Leeman, took the boat and six crew on an astonishing and gruelling journey to Batavia and reported the wreck. Several attempts were made to rescue the survivors, but they were never located. The wreck of the Vergulde Draeck was discovered in 1963 and was excavated in 1972. Some 19,000 coins were recovered, mainly Spanish reals and some Japanese silver coins. The mystery of what became of the survivors of the Vergulde Draeck has never been answered. This was one of the most enigmatic episodes of Australia’s maritime history.

Icons are representations of the Heavenly. They are expressions of Orthodox Faith, teaching, and worship. The Greek word for “Icon” is, “Αγιογραφία,” which can be separated into two words:

  • Άγιο, meaning Holy or not of this world (Heavenly)
  • Γράφω, meaning to write

Therefore, Icons are not drawings or creations of imagination. Theyare in fact writings of things not of this world. Icons can represent our Lord Jesus Christ, the Virgin Mary, and the Saints. They can also represent the Holy Trinity, Angels, the Heavenly hosts, and even events. Orthodox icons, unlike Western pictures, change the perspective and form of the image so that it is not naturalistic. This is done so that we can look beyond appearances of the world, and instead look to the spiritual truth of the holy person or event. Icons can only be created with the blessing of the Church, as they are writings of Truth.

Four different studios offered bids for the film rights, with Universal Studios and Steven Spielberg eventually capturing the rights for $1.5 million before the book was published in 1990. Chrichton would go on to work with David Koepp to adapt a screenplay from the novel, with Chrichton earning an additional $500,000 for the work.

Obverse design elements on the 2020 Niue Jurassic Park 1 oz Silver Coin include the popular bust of Queen Elizabeth II that served as the fourth-generation British effigy of Her Majesty. Designed in 1998 by Ian Rank-Broadley, this design has been widely used on British, Australian, and Commonwealth coins for more than two decades. It depicts the Queen in right-profile relief with inscriptions of Elizabeth II, Niue, Two Dollars, and 2020 on this face of the coin.

For the reverse field, the 2020 Niue Jurassic Park Silver Coin offers the image from the novel and feature film. Here, a T-Rex skeleton is shown in left-profile relief with its razor-sharp teeth exposed and its short arms reaching out under its frame. In addition to the feature film logo and the officially-licensed copyright, there are inscriptions of 1 oz 999 Pure Silver and Jurassic Park.

In 2019, an international team of researchers extracted mitochondrial DNA from subfossil bones discovered in sand dunes on the Chatham Islands. This research confirmed that until a few centuries ago a unique crested penguin species, Eudyptes warhami, existed on the Chatham Islands.

Undisturbed for millennia, the Chatham Islands were once teeming with wildlife. Although some species have been lost since human habitation, thankfully many endangered species have been revitalised in recent years due to conservation efforts.

This detailed silver premium bullion coin was designed by New Zealand artist Dave Burke. Two Chatham Island crested penguins are imagined here with a stormy backdrop familiar to inhabitants of the Chatham Islands. The birds are encircled by an arc of koru designs.

Upon the arrival of Mandalore the First, the Mythosaurs became a challenging target for early Mandalorians to test their battle skills. Eventually they were driven to extinction, but their ferocity and size has made them a key part of Mandalorian legends. Today, the symbolic representation of a Mythosaur skull is used as the official Mandalorian sigil.

Flying fish can be seen jumping out of warm ocean waters worldwide. Their streamlined torpedo shape helps them gather enough underwater speed to break the surface, and their large, wing-like pectoral fins get them airborne.

Flying fish are thought to have evolved this remarkable gliding ability to escape predators, of which they have many. Their pursuers include mackerel, tuna, swordfish, marlin, and other larger fish. For their sustenance, flying fish feed on a variety of foods, including plankton.

There are at least 40 known species of flying fish. Beyond their useful pectoral fins, all have unevenly forked tails, with the lower lobe longer than the upper lobe. Many species have enlarged pelvic fins as well and are known as four-winged flying fish.

Obverse: The likeness of Queen Elizabeth II along with the Tuluma, which is the national symbol of Tokelau. The Tuluma is a wooden tackle box used by the fishermen of Tokelau, inscribed with “Tokelau mot e Atua” meaning “Tokelau for God,” referencing the influence of Christianity in Tokelau.

Reverse: Shows two of the Flying Fish, one in the foreground and the second one a little smaller and in the background. The coin has graphics in the background representing the water of the ocean.

Hawksbill turtles are found throughout the tropical waters of the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans. Named for their narrow, pointed beak, they are also recognizable by a distinctive pattern of overlapping scales on their exquisitely colored and patterned shells. This species typically avoids deep waters, preferring coastlines and coral reefs where they can find sponges, a primary food source for these omnivores.

Beautiful creatures, they make incredible migrations in order to move from feeding sites to tropical beaches that often serve as nesting grounds. Hawksbill turtles come to New Zealand every year from Fiji. Although they’ve been sighted as far south as Cook Strait, they are mostly seen in the upper North Island of New Zealand in the clear, shallow waters of the island shelve.

Like many sea turtles, hawksbills are a critically endangered species due mostly to human impact. Hawksbill eggs are still eaten around the world despite the turtle’s international protected status, and they are often killed for their flesh and their stunning shells that are highly valuable in some marketplaces.

2020 Boba Fett Star Wars 1 oz Silver Bullion Coin

Manufacturer: New Zealand Mint
Dimensions:
40.0mm
Weight (grams):

Fineness:
999

For years, fans of Star Wars™ labored under the delusion that Boba Fett had died after being inadvertently knocked into the jaws of the Sarlacc by a blinded Han Solo in 1983’s Star Wars VI: Return of the Jedi. But according to none other than George Lucas himself, the most feared bounty hunter in the galaxy did not die. Instead, his armor protected him from the creature’s digestive system, and he was able to escape after blasting a hole in the monster’s side.

Since then, Boba Fett has sought his revenge through novels, video games and comic books that are considered official cannon of the Star Wars Universe. And now, Boba Fett gets his due on the New Zealand Mint’s latest release in its Star Wars bullion coin series that shows an image of the infamous mercenary armed to the teeth and ready for action. It’s a dynamic, action-packed image struck in a full ounce of highly-pure 99.9% fine silver. In addition, the coin is officially licensed by Lucasfilm and Disney, so you know it lives up to the high standards Star Wars fans have come to expect.

Of course, Boba Fett’s similarity to a new Star Wars character has led to some confusion. Thanks to the hit Disney+ series The Mandalorian, some folks have been mixing them up. The difference, though slight, is significant. You see, Boba Fett is actually a clone of the Mandalorian bounty hunter Jango Fett, who raised him as his son. Boba was taught the ways of the Mandalorians and wears the same armor, but he was not raised in Mandalorian culture and has no place that he can truly call home.
