Each of these exclusive silver bullion coloured coins is meticulously struck by The Perth Mint from 1oz of 99.99% pure silver and issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965. The Perth Mint will release no more than 4,000 coins in a capsule, out of a total mintage of 5,000.

Appearing among the Chinese constellations, the Four Mythical Guardians are auspicious creatures in oriental culture. Obverse
On the obverse side the coin portrays the Four Mythical Guardians on background imagery comprising mountain tops and clouds.
- Blue Phoenix, symbol of the south, summer, and fire.
- White Tiger, symbol of the west, autumn, and metal.
- Tortoise with snake, symbol of the north, winter, and water.
- Green Dragon, symbol of the east, spring, and wood.
Included in the design is the 2024 year-date and a ‘P125’ mintmark signifying The Perth Mint’s 125th anniversary.
Reverse
The reverse of the coin portrays the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, and the monetary denomination.

I thought the normal version was great but it is even better in colour. It is nicely coloured to show off the sharp and crisp details of the animals, the four guardians. Another great version from the Perth mint. Excellent service from Martin as usual. Happy new year all.
