COIN INFORMATION

This silver bullion coin is dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the Australian mint, The Perth Mint, and was struck from one ounce of 99.99% pure silver in uncirculated quality. To mark the special occasion, the mint’s most famous coin series were combined on one motive. The Australian kangaroo, the Australian koala and the world-famous kookaburra can be seen in front of a wickerwork consisting of Australia’s national floral emblem. A scroll with the inscription “1899 THE PERTH MINT 2024”, as well as the weight, the fineness, the year of issue and the mintmark “P125” to mark the anniversary complete the design.

The Perth Mint was established on June 20, 1899 at the height of the Western Australian gold rush and played an important role in the development of Western Australia’s economy as a producer of refined gold. In 1989, the Perth Mint first minted a coin featuring the Australian Kangaroo, originally known as the Australian Nugget. This coin program remains one of the most popular with collectors and investors today. Later additions to the official Australian bullion coin program are the Australian Kookaburra and the Australian Koala. The mintage is limited to 150,000 pieces worldwide. The silver bullion coin commemorating the 125th anniversary of the Perth Mint is delivered in a protective coin capsule.

The reverse: features the Dan Thorne portrait of King Charles III and the coin’s denomination. In addition, a security feature in the form of a micro-laser engraved letter is included in the coin’s design, which can only be seen under a magnifying glass.
