Designed by Rome-based Italian designer Carmen Testa and commissioned by LGM, the ingots reflect the ancient iconography of the Italian deity known as Fors Fortuna, worshipped in a sacellum on the right bank of the Tiber, In the Middle Ages, Fortune was often depicted next to a wheel and blindfolded to emphasize its capriciousness. Here it is reinterpreted in a modern key, transforming the wheel into the Le Grand Mint coat of arms, There is a pattern in the background, but if you look closely you can read Le Grand Mint’s initials LGM in three dimensions.
