The Gingerbread Christmas 2026 coin was struck by The Perth Mint from two ounces of 99.99% pure silver and provided with an Antique finish. The design in colour transports the viewer into a festive gingerbread Christmas world. It features a lovingly designed village with decorated gingerbread houses, candy canes and numerous gingerbread figures. Also included in the design are the weight, fineness, year of issue and The Perth Mint’s traditional “P” mint mark. The highlight of this release is located at the centre of the coin, where an enamelled gingerbread man is set into an opening. Gingerbread has been an integral part of European Christmas tradition for centuries. Its warm, spicy flavours were especially appreciated during the winter months, before the traditional baked treat evolved into the elaborately decorated gingerbread figures and gingerbread houses known today. To this day, the gingerbread man remains one of the most recognisable symbols of the playful and nostalgic side of the festive season.

The reverse features the effigy of King Charles III, the denomination and a decorative star pattern surrounding the central gingerbread insert. Thanks to the special antiqued finish, each coin has an individual surface appearance designed to evoke the wear and patina of an ancient artefact. The mintage is limited to only 3,000 pieces worldwide. The Gingerbread Christmas 2 Oz Silver Coin is delivered in the original box including a numbered Certificate of Authenticity from The Perth Mint.

Obverse features the effigy of King Charles III by Dan Thorne, the coin’s face value, and a decorative arrangement of stars surrounding the central gingerbread element.

Reverse depicts a town of gingerbread houses, candy canes, and figures singing carols, sledding, building a snowman, and carrying presents. Also visible are the year 2026, the silver weight and fineness, and the “P” mintmark. The reverse was designed by Jennifer McKenna.
