The 2026 Wedge-Tailed Eagle bullion coin was struck by the Perth Mint from one ounce of 99.99% pure silver. The coin was first issued in 2014 and has since enjoyed great popularity among investors and collectors. It was the first collaboration of a US Mint engraver with a foreign mint.

The Wedge Tailed Eagle is native to Australia and is the continent’s largest bird of prey. The design on this coin varies from year to year to keep the coin selection varied for collectors and investors alike. in 2026 the design by American sculpture John M. Mercanti features the head of the Australian wedge-tailed eagle in the foreground and the American bald eagle in the background. The design includes the inscriptions ‘AUSTRALIAN WEDGE-TAILED EAGLE’. The obverse features the new King Charles III effigy.

The obverse: Shows the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III and the face value.

The reverse: Features the head of the Australian wedge-tailed eagle in the foreground and the American bald eagle in the background, both facing right. The inscriptions “AUSTRALIAN WEDGE-TAILED EAGLE”, the “P” mintmark, the 2026 year-date, and the weight and fineness of the silver are also present.
