COIN INFORMATION
limited to one per order for the time being!
This silver coin from the Australian Kangaroo Series was struck by the Royal Australian Mint from one ounce of 99.9% pure silver in uncirculated quality. The issue celebrates six decades of Australian decimal currency and features a special design with six kangaroos. The design is based on the famous depiction of five kangaroos created by Stuart Devlin for the Australian one-dollar coin and first used in 1984. For the 2026 issue, a sixth kangaroo has been added to the design, symbolizing the sixth decade since the introduction of decimal currency in 1966. The design is complemented by the denomination “ONE DOLLAR”. The reverse features the effigy of King Charles III designed by Dan Thorne as well as the year of issue 2026.
Kangaroos hold a special place in the history of Australian coinage. They already appeared together with the emu in the coat of arms on Australia’s first coins issued in 1910. Since then, these distinctive marsupials have been featured on numerous circulation and collector coins and have become one of Australia’s best-known numismatic symbols. Limited to only 10,000 pieces worldwide, the Australian Kangaroo – Mob of Six 1 Oz Silver Coin is delivered in a compact presentation slab together with a certificate of authenticity.
