The 2026 Seymour Panther 2oz silver coin is the tenth bullion release in the Royal Tudor Beasts Collection from The Royal Mint. The collection features the 10 ‘Beasts’ statues that line the Moat Bridge at Hampton Court and which represent the families of the King’s line.

The Tudor Beasts coin series takes inspiration from the 10 heraldic stone beasts that line the moat bridge of Hampton Court Palace. Originally commissioned to commemorate the marriage of Henry VIII and Jane Seymour, these coins celebrate Britain’s Royal House of Tudor and the iconic heraldry associated with them. Portrayed as a powerful creature with fiery breath, the Seymour Panther stands as a symbol of support for Jane Seymour. Bestowed upon her by the king, this ancient emblem was meant to strengthen and legitimise her position as queen.

The reverse of the coin features a beautifully detailed design by David Lawrence, showing the Seymour Panther holding a shield bearing the Seymour Wings. A textured surface animation within the background provides an additional security feature. Details of the coin’s weight, fineness and year are displayed around the edge of the coin, along with the words ‘SEYMOUR PANTHER’.

The obverse of the coin features the official uncrowned coinage portrait of His Majesty King Charles III by Martin Jennings. The coin’s monetary denomination is shown to the right.
