The design by Mateusz Frąckowiak, struck in ultra high relief, highlights the drama and emotional power of Bödvar’s story, giving the scenes extraordinary depth and dynamism. The mintage of the 2026 Bödvar Saga: Loss 2 oz Silver BU Ultra High Relief is limited to 500 pieces, each packaged in a lens capsule and a pouch, accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
On the obverse of the coin captures the moment of Bödvar’s awakening after the attack on his village. The warrior, bound in heavy chains and surrounded by Roman legionaries, rises from the ground among ruins and flames. In his gaze, growing anger and determination can be seen, while his tense muscles foreshadow the strength that will soon break his bonds. The dynamic composition and ultra high relief emphasize the drama of the scene, portraying the very moment when an unstoppable will to fight is born.
On the reverse, of the coin depicts the final moments between Bödvar and his wife, Astrid. The warrior finds her gravely wounded among the ruins of their destroyed village. In the silence after the battle, she delivers her final message – their daughter Sunneva has been taken. Her fading whisper becomes Bödvar’s oath, giving purpose to the path that lies ahead. The entire scene is set within the jaws of a bear, a symbolic creature that will one day grant Bödvar its power. This emotional moment closes the first chapter of the saga, where loss becomes the beginning of a relentless quest for justice.
