The 2026 Queen’s Lion 2oz silver coin is the eighth bullion release in the Royal Tudor Beasts Collection from The Royal Mint. The collection features the 10 ‘Beasts’ statues that line the Moat Bridge at Hampton Court and which represent the families of the King’s line.

Designed by David Lawrence, the reverse side of the coin features the Queen’s Lion, a symbol of royal power and nobility. The Queen’s Lion also holds a shield with the badge of Jane Seymour, Henry VIII’s beloved third wife. This design is not only for visual appeal but also has enhanced security features as a protection against counterfeiting. The obverse side of the coin presents the official coinage portrait of His Majesty King Charles III by Martin Jennings.

On the Moat Bridge at Hampton Court Palace, ten statues of royal beasts stand as proud emblems of the union between Henry VIII and his third wife, Jane Seymour. Originally carved in stone, these majestic guardians have been recreated on coins in a remarkable bullion collection from The Royal Mint. The eighth release in the collection features the Queen’s Lion. .
