Norse gods originate from the mythology of the Scandinavian and Germanic peoples. Their stories were passed down orally for generations before being written down in medieval sagas. What sets the Norse gods apart is their awareness of Ragnarök – the end of the world, in which many of them are destined to die. This gives their mythology a tragic, yet deeply human dimension. In this series:

Odin – the highest of the gods, associated with wisdom, war, and magic. He sacrificed one of his eyes in exchange for knowledge.

Thor – son of Odin, god of thunder and storms, known for his mighty hammer, which he uses to protect both gods and humans.

Loki – god of fire, mischief, and transformation, known for his cunning and shape-shifting. His actions often bring chaos, and his role during Ragnarök is pivotal.
