Introducing Solveig, the latest release in Germania Mint’s Valkyries series for the year 2024. Solveig represents one of the valiant Germanic goddesses, daughters of Odin, who played a crucial role in aiding the most courageous warriors fallen in battle. Symbolizing the awakening of summer, Solveig signifies a fresh start and new opportunities.

On the front of the coin, Solveig, depicted as the Sun goddess, stands alongside a fearless bear companion. Armed with an axe, she wears leather attire adorned with iron accessories, including epaulettes and bracelets. Notably, the Rune of Sowilo adorns her, representing vitality and renewal.

Reverse of the coin reveals Germania Mint’s iconic double-headed eagle paired with Solveig’s trusted bear. The shield, incorporating details like the year, metal type, and denomination, features Germanic runes, adding an authentic touch to the design.

Designed by Mateusz Frąckowiak, the coin will be issued in an edition of 999 pieces. Its originality will be confirmed by the included Certificate of Authenticity.
