Ares is one of the more interesting gods of the Greek pantheon. The god of war and courage was mostly unliked among other gods yet had an array of devoted followers such as minor deities and mortals. Ares even fought alongside the Trojans in the Trojan War taking the side of his lover, Aphrodite, over his sister, Athena.
