Christmas greetings from the most famous cartoon family in the world ! – The Simpsons™ Premium Bullion Coin was struck from one ounce of 99.99% pure silver in uncirculated quality and features the Simpsons™ family surrounded by a holiday wreath. On the lower edge of the coin is the inscription “SEASON’S GREETINGS”. In addition, the design includes the signature of Matt Groening, the official copyright and the traditional mintmark “P” of the Perth Mint. The reverse features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II as well as the denomination, the fineness and the year of issue.

Since 1987, ‘The Simpsons™’ has been broadcast on television. In 2018 the series reached an incredible milestone, becoming the longest-running prime time scripted show in television history. The obverse: of the coin shows the crowned mature head of Queen Elizabeth II facing right (her effigy known as the “Fourth Portrait”). The Queen wears the “Girls of Great Britain and Ireland” diamond tiara, a wedding gift from Queen Mary (Her Majesty’s grandmother) in 1947 – which she also has on the Machin and the Gottwald portraits, In small letters below the head, the artist’s initials IRB (for Ian Rank-Broadley), Around the effigy is the monarch’s legend, the date of issue and the value: QUEEN ELIZABETH II 1 oz 9999 Ag 2022 TUVALU 1 DOLLAR, The inscription around the rim also incorporates the precious metal content. “1 oz 9999 Ag” means “one troy ounce of 99.99% silver” (“Ag” is abbreviated from Argentum, the Latin word for silver).
