2022 Silver Britannia 1 oz Silver Bullion Coin
The 2022 Silver Britannia 1 oz Silver Bullion Coin comes in an individual protective Coin capsule or the original Mint Tube.
COIN INFORMATION:
These are the American made Britannia’s & the quality is much better ! More on the way !
The reverse features Britannia; a human depiction of Britain from the Roman era. The coin shows her with a trident, and has a new background effect to mimic waves which doubles as an anti-counterfeit measure.
The obverse side of the coin bears Her Majesty The Queen’s portrait, as created by Jody Clark and introduced in 2015. The Queen is wearing the King George IV State Diadem – the crown worn for the State Opening of Parliament – as well as special Diamond Jubilee drop pearl earrings.
The 2022 Britannia incorporates new security features including a latent image, surface animation, tincture lines, and micro text incorporated into the image of Britannia.
The first enhancement to the reverse side of the coin is the updated background wave design which appears when light is reflected at a certain angle on the coin. The second addition to the Britannia Silver Coin is the inclusion of smooth tincture lines on Britannia’s shield which now bears the Union Flag. The third and one of the most important element is a holographic image of a padlock in the bottom left, when the coin is tilted this changes between a trident and a padlock. Last but not the least, micro-text in Latin phrase ‘DECUS ET TUTAMEN’ meaning ‘An Ornament and a Safeguard’ is etched along the inner rim of the coin.

Royal Mint need a kick up the Jacksie these days. They are capable of producing decent bullion but seem to send out coins that are dinged, scratched and milk spotted. Not sure if the milk spotting can be prevented or not but all the other quality issues certainly can.Maybe customers need to vote with their wallets in regard to Royal Mint.
