COIN INFORMATION

The fourth coin of the all-new Tuvalu Gods of Olympus Series is now available with Hera who is the goddess of marriage, hearth and family and the patroness of wives and children Hera, featured on the reverse. This coin joins the revival of the Gods of Olympus Series in 2021.

Hera is one of the twelve Olympians in Greek mythology, Along with Zeus, she is the most powerful goddess of Olympus. Hera is the sister and wife of Zeus, her parents are Kronos and Rhea, two Titans. Her siblings are Hestia, Zeus, Poseidon, Demeter and Hades.

History

Since Zeus has many affairs, even though he is married to her, she is often angry and jealous. She takes her anger out on women (Leto, Callisto, and many others). From the affairs that Zeus has, children were born. For example, she tried to kill Heracles, the son of Zeus and the beautiful Alcmene, with two huge snakes. But the latter simply strangled them.

Obverse: On the obverse of 2022 Antique Tuvalu Gods of Olympus Hera 1 oz Silver Coins is an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. The effigy shown here comes from Ian Rank-Broadley and was created for the Royal Mint of England in 1998. It shows the Queen in right-profile relief with the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara. The inscriptions on this side include QUEEN ELIZABETH II, 1 OZ 9999 AG, 2022, TUVALU, and 1 DOLLAR.

Reverse: The reverse side of the 2022 Antique Tuvalu Gods of Olympus Hera Silver Coin comes with a depiction of Hera. She is shown seated in slight-right-profile relief with a lotus staff in one hand and her right hand resting on the head of a lion at her right. To her left, there is a peacock standing next to her throne. The inscriptions here read HERA and the P mint mark of Perth Mint.

With a limited issue of only 13,500 coins.
