The first issue of the new “Pirates of the Caribbean Series” is dedicated to the imposing pirate ship Black Pearl. With more than 4.5 billion US dollars in revenue, the “Pirates of the Caribbean” films are among the most successful of all time. At the beginning, in 2002, nobody would have believed that a film about an eccentric and morally ambivalent captain, played by the actor Johnny Depp, with an undead pirate crew would develop into one of the most famous adventure films of all.

On the motif side of the iconic 2021 silver coin, which is dedicated to these extremely successful Disney films, the pirate ship Black Pearl, which is hotly contested by Captains Jack Sparrow and Hector Barbossa, is depicted in great detail. In addition, the star of the films, Captain Jack Sparrow, can be seen in an abstract rock form.

• Obverse: Features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, along with the year, denomination and country of issue.
