COIN INFORMATION

The Premium Bullion Coin is the third issue of the Australian Nugget Series from the Perth Mint. The coin was struck from one ounce of 99.99% silver in uncirculated quality. After dedicating the first two issues of the Series to the “Welcome Stranger” and the “Hand of Faith” nugget, the Perth Mint celebrates the discovery of the “Golden Eagle” nugget with this issue. Weighing 32.20 kg, the nugget is visually reminiscent of an eagle with outstretched wings and was found in Larkinville (Australia) in 1931. To this day, the Golden Eagle Nugget is considered the largest nugget ever discovered in Australia. The nugget is depicted on the motive and is framed by the inscriptions “AUSTRALIAN NUGGET”, “GOLDEN EAGLE 1931” and “2021 1oz 9999 SILVER”. The reverse features the Jody Clark portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination. The limited silver bullion coin is delivered in a protective coin capsule.

• Obverse: Bears the Jody Clark likeness of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II along with the face value.
• Reverse: Depicts the Golden Eagle nugget, which resembles a bird of prey in fight, along with the text “Golden Eagle, 1931”. The Perth Mint’s “P” mint mark, the year date, weight and purity are also included.
